I am dancing and singing… “I did it…uh huh uh huh…I did it” FOUR Pounds down!!! 16 sticks of butter gone from my butt…ummm…wait a min…maybe just ONE stick from my butt…hahahaha…still have an awful lotts sticks back there!! Oh well…the important thing is…I am off and running. I realize the loss won’t be so significant every week but I also know that even a QUARTER pound loss IS significant!!! I hope you ALL had a good week…will be waiting to hear about YOUR losses as well…HUGSSSSSSSSSS!

Eating Out

Thursday is the day I go to the city to watch  my youngest grandchild while my daughter goes to school. (She’s studying to be a Nurse) It is also the day I have lunch with my dad at a local restaurant and also go out to dinner with one or more of my daughter’s and grandchildren. I ate a healthy breakfast and had a low cal snack, then at lunchtime I ordered the grilled southwest chicken dinner(Lowest calorie and most healthy item on menu at this place and it’s actually very tasty) but the BEST thing I did was to cut the chicken in half right away and place it along with half the rice and green beans in a “TO GO” container. I ate the remaining chicken, rice green beans and slaw with the help of my year old grandson!! The dinner also came with 2 rolls but my grandson ate one of them and I didn’t touch the other one!!! Later in the evening when my hubby got off work we went out to dinner(this I was kind of dreading as we alwaysss over do it on Thursdays). We went to a mexican restaurant (Chips & salsa…what a NO NO!). Well, my daughter who was with us is dieting as well…so we were both very good about the number of chips we ate(Still too many but better then if we weren’t making a CONCIOUS  EFFORT to be good) I also had a very small steak and a small baked potato. It was still way more food then I should have had but guess what…I REFUSE to beat myself up about it!! I will now(TODAY) go back to the way I have been eating all week which has been very healthfully!! Have a beautiful week-end everyone and hugs to you all

About Me

My name is Debbie, I was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana where I lived until about 51/2 years ago. My husband and I then moved to Winslow, Indiana where he is from. I have been married 32 years to a very Wonderful man. I have 4 daughters and 8 grandchildren who, along with my husband and my Dad, are my world! I have struggled with my weight since I was about 12 years old and while I have won many battles…I have yet to win the war…I want to get the weight off and KEEP it off!! It truly is a vicious circle if we ALLOW it to be.

I have chosen to weigh in on Mondays so I haven’t had the first success yet to share with you all..but though it may be SMALL. it WILL BE a success!! Good luck to my new found buddies and to anyone who chooses to read this…it’s a journey so let’s hold hands and walk it TOGETHER!!!
